Our programming is based on teaching the Indigenous life skills necessary to survive in the wilderness and live off the land while walking in both worlds successfully.
We operate with a core group of Indigenous volunteers without whom none of this would be possible.
Activities range from falling trees and milling lumber with an Alaskan Mill to building structures, hunting moose, meat-cutting, and making dry moose meat. In addition, we caught and prepared smoked salmon. We also picked berries and medicines.
We focus on teaching communication skills and building characteristics too many to name. Everyone learns how to be a better communicator, leader and follower.
